No. 2 reason Pascal Siakam trade will take the LA Clippers to next level: Championship experience

Pascal Siakam has done something that a high majority of LA Clippers haven’t done, and that’s that he’s won a championship.

The only players on the Clippers roster who have won a championship before are Rajon Rondo (two), Kawhi Leonard (two), and Serge Ibaka (one).

To get a player who’s got young legs but an experienced playoff resume would be great. In his young career, he’s only missed the playoffs once (in a year where he battled injuries).

He’s gone up against LeBron James twice in the playoffs, which is something the Clippers very well may have to do this season and/or in the future.

His Raptors championship team that he started on stopped one of the best dynasties in NBA history.

He put up 19.8 points and 7.5 rebounds per game in the 2019 NBA Finals. He was in just his third year in the league. The Clippers are going to contend this year, and I’d love to see a proven playoff performer get his chance to build on his postseason resume here.
