No. 2 free agent that the LA Clippers missed out on: Jarrett Allen

Jarrett Allen provides something that the LA Clippers need maybe the most: Rebounding. They were in the bottom half of the league in rebounds per game. Allen, on the other hand, averaged double-digit rebounds this year.

His 10 would have placed him well-above any Clipper. Allen also has some game on offense, averaging 12.8 points per game on 61.8% shooting. Those numbers are better than Ibaka’s, and much better than Zubac’s nine points per game.

Allen is only 23, and always seems to raise his game when the playoffs come around.

In fact, in the 2019-2020 season, Allen averaged 14.8 rebounds per contest. Getting another proven playoff performer on this team would be huge, and would set us up for quite the postseason run.

Keep in mind that we probably will be getting Kawhi Leonard back for the playoffs.

We’re doing really well at that position, but we’re a little short on bigs. Allen could have been really effective on this Clipper team, especially come postseason time.
