LA Clippers: 3 instant assignments for Justise Winslow

No. 1 instant assignment for Justise Winslow on the LA Clippers: Bring the three-point stroke back
The last two seasons that Justise Winslow played close to a full season, he shot the ball very well.
In the 2018-2019 season, he was a 37.5% three-point shooter, and he was a 38% three-point shooter in the season prior.
These past two years, however, he’s shot a combined 19.8% from three. That’s not going to fly on a team like the Clippers. He’ll need to improve his stroke drastically.
Something that doesn’t get talked about enough is how his health has correlated to his shooting ability in his career. In seasons where Winslow stayed healthy, he has shot 35.6% from deep. He also shot 43% from the field in those seasons.
That’s obviously much different than where he was these past two years (19.8% from deep and 36.6% from the field).
I do believe that if he stays healthy, his offense will be unlocked and he can thrive in this system. That shot needs to be priority number one, however, if he wants to have that success here.
The Winslow signing quietly makes a lot of sense, and has high upside if he’s able to take these three areas seriously.
