The LA Clippers have ended up missing out on some top free agent targets so far in free agency.

It’s not as big of a deal as many are making it, because they were able to keep Nicolas Batum, and they have an elite roster as long as they can bring everybody back.

The Clippers are still going to want to try to upgrade through free agency, however, and still can. There are fits still available for the team.

No. 3 best fit for the LA Clippers still available in free agency: Lou Williams

The LA Clippers should look into bringing Lou Williams back. The Lou Williams trade has totally backfired for the Clippers, as Rajon Rondo performed very poorly in the playoffs.

He was brought in for the playoffs, and was almost a total no-show. Williams, on the other hand, played well. He shot the best from deep that he’s ever shot (44.4%), and averaged double-digit points.

He posted a playoff career-high in both field goal percentage and three-point field goal percentage. The Clippers love their shooters, and Lou Will is more than proven as a bucket off the bench.

The veteran still played good basketball, and got even more playoff experience. He’ll likely be inexpensive at this age, so the Clips need to keep him firmly on their radar.
