Updated LA Clippers Depth Chart

I’ve said since the very beginning of the offseason that the LA Clippers will win the West.

Even with Kawhi Leonard potentially being out for a significant portion of the season, I still think the Clippers will win the West.

This is because Leonard has only suffered a partially torn ACL. It was not a typical tear that I think will require a full 12 months of recovery. I do believe that Leonard will be back by the postseason.

Leonard is the best player in the West, and will lead the Clippers to a Western Conference Championship when he gets back. In the meantime, the Clippers drafted Johnson to help out with the loss of Kawhi’s presence on defense.

The Clips upgraded big-time through the NBA Draft this year, which was necessary. We don’t have a lot of money to spend in free agency this offseason. Getting as much talent as we can through the draft was a great move by the Clippers, and sets them up to not even need to go on any sort of spree in free agency.

Now, it’s going to be about re-signing our guys, and making necessary deals with our most valuable trade chips.
