Updated LA Clippers Depth Chart after 2021 NBA Draft: Big Men

The updated LA Clippers depth chart at the two big men positions is as follows:

  1. Marcus Morris Sr. (Starter)
  2. Serge Ibaka (Starter)
  3. Ivica Zubac
  4. Daniel Oturu

Patrick Patterson and DeMarcus Cousins are unrestricted free agents this summer, so they’re not on here.

I know Morris can play the three, but in smaller Clipper lineups he’s obviously more of a big.

This draft really doesn’t affect the big man depth chart. Johnson can guard bigger players, as he models his game after Kawhi Leonard. That being said, he really doesn’t have a big-man offensive game at 6’5.”

The big men aren’t going to be losing any playing time to rookies as of right now, although these four will need to be wary of the Clippers re-signing Cousins, or maybe going out and acquiring another big man.

They’re thin in this portion of the frontcourt.

I have Ibaka over Zubac even though it didn’t end that way last year. He’s the more consistent player, and can succeed in a higher volume of matchups than Zubac. It’s possible we trade Zubac this offseason, but not Ibaka.
