One more advantage for the LA Clippers to trade for DeAndre Jordan: Rebounding

DeAndre Jordan rebounded everything for the LA Clippers.

He even put up 15.2 rebounds per game one year. He had another 15 rebound per game season too.

Even when he left LA, he still collected 13.1 boards per contest the very next year.

The next year, he averaged double digits in that category again despite starting only six games for the Nets. This year, in just 21.9 minutes per game, he brought home 7.5 boards per contest.

The Clippers were in the bottom half of the league in rebounding this year. They want to look to improve that this offseason, and Jordan is a guy who can make a difference even in few minutes played.

Jordan shot 76.3% this year, and blocked 1.1 shots per game. He still has good basketball left in him, and rebounding is one of his best strengths. Sure, he’s past his prime, but should be looked at as at least an option for the Clips.

Just like how they wanted Boogie for his veteran big man presence last year, they should consider Jordan this time around. However, it’s important to get him for the right deal. That part is going to be tough.
