One disadvantage for the LA Clippers to trade for DeAndre Jordan: Not the best package to trade

If the LA Clippers try to trade for DeAndre Jordan, who exactly should they be trading away?

The Clippers who realistically should be on the block (not who I think they should for sure trade, but who I think provide trade value and shouldn’t be untouchable) are Patrick Beverley, Marcus Morris Sr., Terance Mann, Ivica Zubac, and Luke Kennard. One can argue there are more, but those are the four that seem to be receiving that type of speculation consistently.

Would it be a good idea to trade one of these for Jordan straight up? I don’t know about that.

I’d be down to trade Kennard straight up for Jordan, because I think he’s being overpaid and I would like to get out of that contract. But why would the Nets, a team who’s trying to win now, take on a big contract like that for a role player who hasn’t earned it?

He’s due over $28 million in the next two years, so while I think Kennard could work well in Brooklyn’s offense, they’re not going to do that trade unless we offer something else with it.

I’m not doing that, or finding any way to overcompensate for Jordan. I don’t know that the teams would be able to form an offer that’s fair for both squads.
