As far as this offseason goes, priority number one for the LA Clippers is to make sure they bring Kawhi Leonard back.

When they get that done, they won’t have much money to spend on free agents. They already don’t. That being said, they can’t ignore free agency.

There are four realistic targets in particular that pair really nicely with their franchise player, however, and need to do their best to match those guys up with the best player in the Western Conference.

No. 4 free agent target for the LA Clippers that pairs nicely with Kawhi Leonard: Danny Green

The LA Clippers should consider picking up Danny Green, who interestingly is a former teammate of Kawhi Leonard’s.

Danny Green is a winner. He’s won three NBA championships with three different teams (two with Leonard).

The thing is, an NBA team knows exactly what they’re getting in Danny Green. They’re getting an elite-level sharpshooter.

It feels like Green sinks every three-point shot he takes. He’s a career 40.1% three-point shooter, and just shot over 40% again this year.

This is the same guy who shot 51.1% from deep in the 2016 postseason. He shot 55.1% in the NBA Finals in 2013.

He’s even been named to an All-Defensive Team before, and is a solid veteran player with a winning background. Giving Kawhi a chance to have a sharpshooter by his side who he’s won with before would be great for LA.
