No. 2 LA Clipper that could be traded before NBA Draft: Ivica Zubac
Ivica Zubac was obviously listed in those two trade ideas for the LA Clippers.
It makes sense, as there aren’t a lot of good free agent centers available. Therefore, many teams are going to be interested in a guy like Zubac.
Zubac really showed the type of player he is in the Western Conference Finals. He grabbed 41 rebounds in Games 2 through 4.
Zubac was also speculated by Zach Buckley of Bleacher Report to be included in a sign-and-trade deal with Kennard for DeMar DeRozan.
Zubac had some inconsistencies in the playoffs on defense, particularly in the first few games of the first round. In fairness, Ty Lue adjusted and Zubac did much better.
The point is, however, Zubac is far from a perfect player, and if Serge Ibaka opts in next year, and DeMarcus Cousins signs for cheap, they would have the opportunity to trade Zubac.
That could yield a nice return, due to not many true centers being in this league. It raises Zubac’s trade value.
