No. 1 best home if Nicolas Batum leaves the LA Clippers this offseason: The Los Angeles Lakers
There hasn’t been much talk about Nicolas Batum leaving the LA Clippers for the Los Angeles Lakers. I don’t think Batum will be leaving the Clips, but if he does, he’d fit well on the Lakers.
The Lakers have a lot of free agents to re-sign this offseason, and they may not get to all of them.
For instance, if Montrezl Harrell doesn’t pick up his option and stay with the Lakers, Batum could be a guy who can lessen that blow. Batum can play the four, and obviously has more tools on offense that can really benefit any team.
Or if the Lakers can’t get to re-signing Jared Dudley, they may see Batum as someone who can replace that veteran presence. Batum has a reputation of being a team player, just like Dudley, and is a much better shooter than Dudley at this point in his career.

How the beginning stages of the offseason go will dictate how likely this is, as well as the rest of these teams. Hopefully the Clips can strike a deal with Batum right away, that way we don’t have to worry about a scare like this.
