It truly would suck if the LA Clippers can’t get a deal done with Nicolas Batum this offseason.

Batum was so crucial to the Clips this postseason, and played very well for us throughout the entire year. His versatility, defense, and three-point shooting is very valuable.

Leaving is a possibility, however. If he wants to leave, he’ll have many teams interested in his services. There are four in particular that could use a guard/forward like him:

No. 4 best home if Nicolas Batum leaves the LA Clippers this offseason: The Miami Heat

The Miami Heat are a team that should kick the tires on Nicolas Batum if he chooses to leave the LA Clippers. They’re likely going to have a lot of money this offseason.

They have a lot of pieces not signed through next season, and likely won’t be bringing back a bunch of their ten 2021 free agents.

If they end up losing some of their veterans who play strong defense such as Andre Iguodala or Udonis Haslem, they could use a new player who can play a similar role to that in Batum.

Batum’s hot, and got much further than the Heat did in the playoffs last year.

Also, if the Heat end up acquiring Kawhi Leonard (like they say they’re serious about trying to do), that will make Miami even more attractive to Batum. He had great chemistry with Leonard, and would continue to strengthen the guard/forward depth on the Heat.
