No. 2 player the LA Clippers can replace in 2021 NBA Draft: Amir Coffey

The LA Clippers can absolutely replace Amir Coffey in the NBA Draft this year.

Coffey hasn’t played very well in the NBA so far, but there are shooting guards who can absolutely be good NBA players in this draft who will still be around in the range of the Clippers’ pick.

Ayo Dosunmu is one of those guys, and he was actually even mocked twice to the Clippers recently by CBS Sports.

Dosunmu, who started every game he played at Illinois, had a tremendous career there.

He’s quick, and he’s a good ball handler. Last year, he averaged over 20 points per game and shot 39% from deep. We all know how much the Clippers love three-point shooters.

They also like their backcourt to be well-rounded. Dosunmu certainly is, as he’s not just a scorer. He averaged 5.3 assists per game in college last year, and recorded 6.3 rebounds per game.

He also stole the ball 1.1 times per game in that 2020-2021 season, as well as his entire career.

Most suspect Dosunmu to be around when the Clippers are on the clock in that first round, and their eyes should light up if they have the chance to take him.
