No. 2 Bucks free agent who could be a fit with the LA Clippers: Bobby Portis

Bobby Portis would fit really well with an LA Clippers small ball squad.

Portis is a 6’10” power forward who showed the ability to even play the center this year and be effective.

He didn’t start very many games this year, not in either the regular season or the postseason.

Portis could fit in a Clipper small ball lineup as one of the bigs and shoot really well, which is of course one of the requirements for that role.

He shot his best three-point clip of his career this year, nailing 47.1% of his three-point shots. Let’s also not forget that he’s the same guy who shot 46.2% from three in his first postseason in 2017.

On top of that, he rebounds, which is something the Clippers can’t currently say they do. The Clippers finished in the bottom half of the league in rebounding this year.

Portis averaged 7.1 rebounds in 20.8 minutes this season. He has averaged 5.2 over the course of his playoff career, despite only playing 18.7 minutes per game in the postseason. He’d make an immediate impact on the Clips.
