The LA Clippers need Reggie Jackson back next season.

Jackson’s postseason performance was about as crucial as anything to the Clippers’ success this year.

That postseason performance surely will drive his price tag up for the summer, however. A player who’s signed contracts as expensive as a 5-yr/$80 million deal, Jackson is likely to cost quite a bit this offseason. If the Clippers can’t afford him, he’ll for sure be able to find a good deal and/or fit for him.

No. 4 best new home if Reggie Jackson leaves the LA Clippers this offseason: The Denver Nuggets

If Reggie Jackson and the LA Clippers can’t get a deal done, the Denver Nuggets could be a nice spot for Jackson.

Nuggets starting Point Guard Jamal Murray is set to likely miss a lot of time next season with his ACL tear, and the Nuggets showed that they need point guard help badly in the playoffs.

The Nuggets ran into a brick wall against the Phoenix Suns in the Western Conference Semifinals. They got swept by the Suns despite having the NBA’s 2021 MVP in Nikola Jokic.

The Clippers, on the other hand, were missing their franchise player (who’s the best player in basketball) and took the Suns to a hard-fought six game series in the Western Conference Finals.

Lots of that was due to Jackson’s excellence. Jackson had his way with the Suns; averaging 20.3 points per game, 4.3 rebounds per game, 3.7 assists per game, and 1.3 steals per game in the WCF.

Jackson is the type of player the Nuggets have missed without Murray running the point. Jackson is a good player in general too, of course, so he could still be effective as a two-guard when Murray gets back.

The only issue is that the Nuggets don’t have much cap room. It’s a great basketball fit, but Jackson likely won’t receive a lot of money in return with this option.
