No. 1 reason the LA Clippers should re-sign Reggie Jackson: His playoff dominance
Nobody will ever forget what Reggie Jackson did for the LA Clippers in the postseason this year.
Averaging 17.8 points per game, Jackson shot 48.4% from the field in the playoffs as well as 40.8% from three-point land. He did that without even starting all the Clippers’ postseason games.
It really wasn’t even just the numbers, though. He seemed to come up clutch whenever he was needed most, and even earned himself the nickname ‘Mr. June.’
There were times in the playoffs where Jackson was leading comebacks, or answering on offense when the Clips were under attack.
Jackson balled ever since he was put into the starting lineup this postseason.
It’s going to be crucial for the Clippers to be able to reel him back in.
Jackson’s postseason presence was one of the most valuable assets to the Clippers this year, and the Clips will be back in the playoffs next year.
To have a guy like Jackson who can turn it up at that level is something the Clippers can’t lose.
There are some quality free agent point guards available this offseason, but Jackson needs to remain Plan A at all costs.
