No. 1 best new home for Kawhi Leonard if he leaves the LA Clippers this offseason: The Miami Heat

If Kawhi Leonard chooses to take his talents away from the LA Clippers this offseason, the Miami Heat provide him with the best possible new fit.

The Miami Heat don’t have a lot tied down for next year. The three players they traded for at the trade deadline (Trevor Arizona, Victor Oladipo, and Nemanja Bjelica) are not signed through next season.

They have the roster space without even needing to make it. Leonard also likes Jimmy Butler.

It wasn’t long ago when he was recruiting him to the Clippers.

The Heat could be looking at a core of Kawhi Leonard, Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo, and Goran Dragic next year. That’s a championship-contending core.

They would provide the overall best fit due to their potential lineup, the roster space that’s already there, and the cap room that could satisfy Leonard.
