No. 3 best new home for Kawhi Leonard if he leaves the LA Clippers this offseason: The Dallas Mavericks

The Dallas Mavericks seem to be all-in on poaching Kawhi Leonard from the LA Clippers.

While I don’t think they, or anyone, will be swiping Kawhi from the Clippers, I know why Dallas is so interested.

Kawhi has absolutely terrorized the Mavericks’ franchise.

He’s had the team and both their head coach and general manager parting ways. He’s knocked them out of the postseason in each of the last two seasons.

I don’t think the Mavericks will be able to have enough money to bring Kawhi over, but if they do, that team would be pretty unstoppable.

Just because the Mavs were knocked out in the first round doesn’t mean they aren’t a very good team.

They would have been in the Eastern Conference Finals if they were in the weak Eastern Conference. Adding Leonard would make them instant NBA Finals contenders.
