No. 1 ideal replacement if Nicolas Batum doesn’t re-sign with the LA Clippers: P.J. Tucker

P.J. Tucker would be a very nice option for the LA Clippers if Nicolas Batum can’t be around next year.

Tucker can do a lot on the hardwood. His number one attribute is his defense. Ever since he’s been in the league, he’s always been asked to take on tough defensive assignment after tough defensive assignment.

He would theoretically be able to replace the loss of Batum’s defense, and let’s also not forget who Tucker is as a shooter himself. Tucker is a 35.9% three-point shooter in his career; just 0.1% lower than Batum’s career mark.

In the playoffs, he’s raised that to a career postseason clip of .399. Tucker would bring some great experience to the Clippers, as he’s currently starting for the Milwaukee Bucks in the NBA Finals.

All three of these guys have been in this league for a while, and can provide value to the Clippers if they can’t get a deal done with Batum.
