Pass or pursue DeMar DeRozan this offseason for the LA Clippers: Pursue

Even before Leonard got hurt, DeMar DeRozan was seen as a nice option for the LA Clippers’ roster next year.

Bleacher Report even highlighted a potential sign-and-trade opportunity for the Clippers to go out and acquire him. They had the Clippers sending over Ivica Zubac and Luke Kennard.

That would have the Clippers very thin at center but it’s an interesting idea, of course.

I don’t know for sure if that would get it done, but the Clippers should at least be looking into a way to bring in DeRozan.

This is because DeRozan would be a great option to try to limit the damage for the Clippers in the time that Kawhi has to miss next year. He’s no Kawhi, but he’s a versatile wing who can play the four too, and has averaged 22.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 4.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game since 2013.

He has one of the best mid-range games in the league, and is a hard pursue for me this offseason.

DeRozan and Ball need to be focused on this offseason, where as Dinwiddie should be lower on the priority list.
