Pass or pursue Spencer Dinwiddie this offseason for the LA Clippers: Pass

If I’m the LA Clippers, and I’m interested in Lonzo this offseason, I’d stay that way instead of going out and signing Spencer Dinwiddie.

Make no mistake about it; Dinwiddie’s a very talented player, but he’s not on the court too often.

Outside of the 2017-2018 season, he’s played in 34, 12, 59, 68, 64, and 3 games in the other years of his career.

After how this season went with the Clippers having to deal with so many injuries all the time, as well as this Kawhi Leonard injury update, I’d rather not go with somebody who’s struggled with durability in his career.

Also, Dinwiddie isn’t too strong as a shooter, shooting just 31.8% from three-point land in his career. If the Clips lose Jackson, they’re losing a shooter.

Adding Dinwiddie won’t fill that loss, and while Dinwiddie wouldn’t be a bad signing, it wouldn’t be their best option.

Durability needs to be emphasized in the roster construction of next year’s team.
