No. 1 most valuable player on today’s LA Clippers roster: Kawhi Leonard

The MVP of the LA Clippers is perhaps the best player on the planet; Kawhi Leonard.

The two-time Defensive Player of the Year almost hit the 50/40/90 mark this year, and put up many playoff performances where he flashed that type of ‘best player on earth’ performance.

During the regular season, our best player averaged 24.8 points/6.5 rebounds/5.2 assists per game, and despite being hurt for much of the year, still made an All-Defensive team.

He missed 20 games this season and was still named to the first-team All-NBA roster.

Leonard may not be back next year, as he may not pick up his player option. There are many interesting teams expected to make a push for him.

It’s incredibly vital for the most valuable Clipper to remain in LA next year. Not only is he one of the best of the best, but he makes his teammates better.

With the other six players on this list, however, Kawhi should see the potential us fans see in this team, and stay right where he’s at. If Kawhi stays, we very well may see us as the leading favorites for the Western Conference.
