No. 4 most valuable player on today’s LA Clippers roster: Marcus Morris Sr.

Oh, how differently the Western Conference Finals could have gone if Marcus Morris Sr. was healthy the whole time.

Morris was  a little banged up due to knee soreness at the beginning of the series.

In the first four games of the series, he was rather non-existent. He averaged just 6.3 points per game, grabbed just 3.3 boards per game, and shot just 29.4% from the field (25% from three).

He was a completely different player in Games 5 and 6. He averaged 24 and 6 in those two games, and shot 54.5% from the field and 37.5% from three-point land.

The Clippers looked way better when Morris looked way better. He had the second-best three-point percentage in basketball (47.3%) during the regular season, and he’s one of the better defensive players on the team.

He provides a lot of value as the ‘tough guy’ on the Clippers, and is absolutely one of the more valuable players on this roster.

He’ll be back next year barring something crazy, and it’s already huge for the Clippers that he’s healthy again.
