No. 2 LA Clippers free agent likeliest to return this offseason: Serge Ibaka

Serge Ibaka has a solid chance to be back with the LA Clippers this offseason.

The thing is, what else can the Clippers do at center?

They need one of their two free agent centers to be back, and it likely won’t be DeMarcus Cousins.

Therefore, if Ibaka doesn’t come back, they’ll have to try to go with another free agent center, and those options are limited this year. They’ll need to make it clear to Ibaka that they want him and that he’ll be a big part of their plans next year. If they can keep good relations with him, Ibaka will likely pick up his player option.

Ibaka isn’t going to be able to make much more than that player option, if any more at all. He’s coming off a year where he missed a ton of games due to injury. He’s likely to want to pick up that option which will earn him $9,720,900 next year.
