The LA Clippers may be coming off of their best season in history, but nothing is guaranteed for the 2021-2022 season.

The Clippers can potentially have an offseason full of headlines, as there are many potential avenues this summer could take them.

They’ll need to re-sign big-name players, replace Chauncey Billups in the assistant coaching staff, get healthy, and much more. They’ll also most likely need to go out and sign free agents to firm up what should be a great roster next year. The Clippers are my early prediction to win the West next season, and these three free agents would get them to that promised land.

No. 1 free agent that would get the LA Clippers to the NBA Finals: Otto Porter Jr.

Otto Porter Jr. fits the LA Clippers‘ identity too well.

He’s been a sharpshooter throughout his career. He’s a lifetime 40.2% three-point shooter in this league, and the Clippers are known for being a great spot for guys who can shoot the lights out.

Porter most likely won’t want to re-sign with the Orlando Magic, as Orlando proved to be a poor fit for him when he got there. He only played in eight games, where he uncharacteristically scored just eight points per game and shot 11.1% from three.

He needs a fresh start somewhere he can shoot to his potential, and playing for a Clipper team that thrives off three-point shooting would be an outstanding fit.
