No. 3 threat that could sign Kawhi Leonard away from the LA Clippers this offseason: The Miami Heat

The Mavericks are reportedly making a ‘hard push’ to swipe Kawhi Leonard from the LA Clippers this summer, and so are the Miami Heat.

The Kawhi Leonard to the Miami Heat rumors have been sparking up ever since the trade deadline due to the Heat trading for three players that are not signed through next year (Victor Oladipo, Trevor Ariza, and Nemanja Bjelica).

They should be able to pay for Kawhi Leonard, and it wasn’t too long ago when Leonard wanted Jimmy Butler to come play for the Clippers with him.

I think he probably likes what the Clippers have going on with Paul George as his sidekick, but it’s no secret that he also likes Butler and may want to explore playing with him.

Kawhi probably should turn down the option to see how much money everyone would be interested in offering him. That’s the dangerous part. There are going to be teams that have a lot of money willing to show Leonard what they have.

The Heat are one of those teams, and are looking to get back to winning championships. They’re contenders if they can sign the Claw.
