Clippers Second Starting Forward Prediction: Marcus Morris Sr.

Marcus Morris Sr. wasn’t the same in the Western Conference Finals as he typically is, but he was hurt. Also, he was really impressive in the last two games of the WCF when he looked healthy.

Morris is a lockdown defender who puts up 13.4 points a game. Even better yet, he’s a straight sharpshooter from three.

He had the second-best three-point percentage in basketball, shooting an unbelievable 47.3% from behind the three-point line.

His 47.3% field goal percentage is already very impressive, and he can shoot it at that clip from three as well.

Morris shot 82% from the free throw line this year, proving even more value on offense for the Clippers. A complete player, he will absolutely be starting for the Clippers due to his defensive presence and ability to make all kinds of shots consistently.

His complete skillset makes him a very coachable player.

Many focus on Leonard and Ivica Zubac when they think about Clippers that weren’t healthy in the Western Conference Finals, but Morris deserves to be in that discussion.

He wasn’t moving right in the first four games of the series, and he would have proven his worth even more if he could have been 100% the whole season. He’ll be even better next year.
