No. 2 player who played his last game as a Clipper: Amir Coffey

Amir Coffey has a lot of competition ahead of him on the Clippers.

There are too many guards and forwards that can play guard that are under contract next year for Coffey to stick around. The Clips also have some free agents like Kawhi Leonard, Nicolas Batum, and Reggie Jackson who play those positions and have at least a chance of being back in LA next year.

On the bright side for Amir Coffey, he got to play for a playoff team in his first two years of his career. The Clippers team he was on this year was likely the second best team in the NBA too, as the Suns are being favored by most to win this NBA Championship. If the Clippers were in the Eastern Conference, they likely would have met the Suns in the NBA Finals, as they had a better record than both of the remaining Eastern Conference teams.

On the other side, Coffey didn’t get much playing time. He played in a total of 62 games in his Clipper career, and started just one game in each year for the Clips. Averaging 8.9 minutes per game in his time with the Clippers, he scored just 3.2 points per game.

It looks like the two sides will go their separate ways this offseason.
