#2 reason the Clippers should re-sign Nic Batum: His experience

Nic Batum has been in this league a long time. He’s played in the NBA for 13 years. And as mentioned earlier, he’s played three positions in that time.

He’s been a full-time starter in eight of those 13 years, and has started in a majority of the games he’s played in during all 13 seasons except for one year where he only played 22 games (2019-20).

It’s not just the regular season where he’s gathered lots of experience, but he’s also played in eight playoff series in his career. It’s no surprise that Batum has played in this league for so long.

He has a strong reputation for being highly dedicated to his teammates and the game of basketball. He even played in a game just three hours after his baby was born this year.

That type of leadership can always be huge for a team, and seeing that type of dedication means a lot to his teammates.

Batum may not have championship experience, but he’s a locker-room guy that provides value in even his presence alone. It’s not just his direct production on offense and defense that makes him an important player, but his intangibles as a leader.
