There are two former LA Clippers wearing Dallas Mavericks colors nowadays.

J.J. Redick and Boban Marjanovic will be playing the LA Clippers in their upcoming Western Conference playoff series.

That is, however, if Redick is healthy. Redick has missed some time lately due to a heel injury.

He’s played just 13 games for the Mavs this year, as he was originally on the New Orleans Pelicans earlier this season. He was traded in March, and while his field goal percentage is at a rather disappointing 35.8% with the Mavs, he’s still rather deadly from three. Redick may not be shooting an absurd 47.5% from back there like he did with our Clips in the 2015-16 season, but he’s still shooting a smooth 39.5% since the trade.

He’s passed his prime at 36 years old. In fact, he’s averaging just 7.4 points per game this year, and only 4.4 with Dallas. He can still shoot when his number’s called, however, and could very well be called upon in this series.

As for Marjanovic, he’s been with Dallas for the past two years. Similarly to his time with the Clippers, he doesn’t play a ton of minutes.

Not similarly to his time with the Clippers, he’s actually developed (somewhat) of a three-point shot. He’s by no means a good three-point shooter, shooting 12.5% from that range this year, but it’s something he’ll pull out once in a while.

It’s unclear how much he’ll play, as he’s only played 8.2 minutes per game this year, and Redick for that matter may not get a ton of action either, as he’s only played 11.3 minutes per game for Dallas this year.

Redick, again, may not even be playing at least at the start of this series at all due to his heel injury.

Both former Clippers have veteran experience, though, and are guys who fans may hear and be reminded about during this upcoming series.
