A lot of judgments are going to be made based on this postseason.

That goes for the league as a whole of course, but the LA Clippers in particular.

Last year’s playoff showing rubbed a lot of NBA fans the wrong way, but the Clippers have every opportunity to right the ship.

Three Clippers in particular have a lot to prove this postseason.

Paul George leads that list.

George has been on the wrong end of some unfortunate playoff showings in these past couple of years. In 2019, George was an MVP candidate.

He, Russell Westbrook, and the rest of the Oklahoma City Thunder came into the first round of the Western Conference Playoffs as the overall favorites over the Portland Trail Blazers, despite being the lower seed.

Having made few deep runs in the playoffs before, there was some pressure on George to go on a run in the 2019 postseason.

Unfortunately for George, his playoff experience that year ended early with a first-round exit.

To make matters worse, the series was lost in five games. As if that wasn’t enough, the series was won by a buzzer-beater by Damian Lillard from the logo, right in the face of George.

Ever since then, PG has been routinely mocked for his lack of recent playoff success, after he had already nicknamed himself ‘Playoff P.’ He was even targeted before that due to OKC’s playoff struggles the year before that too.

It’s a new year, and George has to be hungry. He’s in a prime position to earn ‘Playoff P’ status again. He’s out to prove himself, and has the best chance to change the narrative around him than any other player on the Clippers.
