LA Clippers Guard: Patrick Beverley
Patrick Beverley is another guard we can all but mark down as part of the team’s rotation in the playoffs. Following a stint of missed games for the team, he’s slowly ramping back up to being able to play.
If he can get back in the next week or two, fully expect him to regain his starting position which gives the LA Clippers one of the best trios of defenders in the NBA.
Beverley knows his role and performs well. He’s not a high-volume scorer at just 8.3 points per game but when he lets it fly, he’s accurate. He’s shooting a career-high 42% from deep this season, something that is invaluable in that starting lineup. He also provides some serious rebounding from the guard position, grabbing nearly four a game this year. Bev just hustles and is the heart of this team.
In the playoffs, his tenacity will help give the starting group energy from the jump and even though he might not play make at the same level as Rajon Rondo, he can do enough to help play make by committee for the first few minutes of the game.
Honestly, Beverley might be the third-best player on the team given his impact from not just a gameplay standpoint but an emotional one.
He’s staying in the rotation as long as he’s healthy.
