LA Clippers Mailbag Question #5

Would you rather have us not lose 3-1 but not win the chip and keep Doc, or have everything as it is now with Ty Lue?

I love a good hypothetical question.

This one is a simple answer for me, however. I’d go with the latter and have the team as they are now.

While it would have been awesome to, ya know, not blow that lead against Denver, I still know that we ultimately didn’t win a chip. While a Western Conference Finals appearance would be great for this franchise, not winning a chip after getting that close would still be disappointing.

With the choice of having everything as it is now, there’s still a possibility that this team wins a championship. I know many fans are down on the team right now and don’t see them as a contender but in this weird season, why not? Every team has issues they are going through and while the Nets are probably considered the favorite at this point, they aren’t this unbeatable juggernaut.

Next. LA Clippers reportedly have interest in multiple guards. dark

The next few weeks will teach us a lot but I’m confident that the LA Clippers have just as good of a chance as anybody else.
