It’s time for the LA Clippers to emerge from the All-Star Break and face the second half of the season refreshed, revitalized and ready to rampage through the rest of the league. Or, something like that.

Fans of the LA Clippers entered the break worrying about the team. After a very strong start to the year, the Clips ended the first half losing 6 of their final 9 games (albeit some without one or both of the stars) and leaving Clipper Nation concerned.

Are we buying or selling on the first half concerns for the LA Clippers?

Some of the worries about the LA Clippers are issues worth worrying about, while some of them probably won’t be of too much consequence going into the playoffs. To that end, let’s play a little game of “Buy or Sell?” on four of the most commonly-heard complaints among Clippers Twitter.

Do keep in mind that, if we “sell” on a concern, that doesn’t mean we think it was never actually a problem in the first half. It’s more that we think, when you look into the context or explanation around the problem, it’s probably not going to be something worth worrying about in the postseason.

Likewise, if we “buy” on a concern, we’re not saying “this issue keeps us from being a true contender!” It’s not that we’re calling it insurmountable; rather, we’re keeping our eyes on it and hoping for Ty Lue and the rest of his coaching staff to address it before the games start mattering even more.
