Reason to not be concerned for the LA Clippers: Ty Lue hasn’t revealed everything yet

I have said it before and I’ll say it again. Ty Lue is not showing his whole hand and likely won’t until the postseason. It’s his thing.

When he won the championship with Cleveland as their head coach, Lue infamously saved defensive schemes for the playoffs. It stands to reason to believe he’s doing the same thing with this Clipper squad.

Don’t think so? Noah Eagle (the team’s radio broadcaster) said on a recent podcast interview that he knows Ty isn’t deploying everything just yet.

Zach Lowe was also told something similar:

If we aren’t seeing 100% of what this team will be, should there be this much concern going around?

The LA Clippers obviously need a couple of things to happen in the second half of the season. They need to solidify their rotation (especially if they do add a player). They need to work on the clutch moments of the game (which again, they are already). Most importantly, however, they need to just get healthy.

Next. The Kawhi Leonard era has not been a failure. dark

Ty has the ideas and schemes to make this team excel. The players have the talent to win a championship. It can all come together still with 34 games left in the regular season. Let’s lay off those panic buttons for just a little bit and enjoy the ride.
