The LA Clippers know what the second half of their season looks like now, as we approach the halfway point of the season. There’s the potential for the Clips to show that they’re one of the best teams in the league.

Between the start of March and the end of the season in the middle of May, the LA Clippers will play 36 games, which will likely lead to some rest and load management being needed. Not all of those 36 games are created equal.

The LA Clippers will play in 5 very interesting games in the second half of the season.

It’s hard to feel incredibly excited about a game against the Detroit Pistons in April, but some other matchups should have Clipper Nation very excited. Let’s count down the five games that are the most interesting ones in the second half of the season.

LA Clippers 5 Most Interesting Games #5: Home vs. Phoenix, April 8

I’m excited to see the LA Clippers take on the Phoenix Suns in April, mostly because of the point guard matchup. It’s always interesting when Chris Paul returns to play against the Clips. This will be extra interesting because, unlike last year with the Thunder, CP3 is playing on a legitimate title contender.

He’ll likely be guarded by one of the men he was traded for in Patrick Beverley. You throw into the mix the history of Chris Paul allegedly leading a raid through the tunnels to the Clips’ locker room, and there’s plenty to stoke the narrative in this game.

The Suns and LA Clippers have already played once this season, which takes away a little bit of the suspense and excitement. In January the Clippers nearly blew a 31 point lead but ended up winning 112-107 39 points for Paul George. That game also featured a bit of a dustup between Paul George and Devin Booker, which could show itself again when those two come face to face.

All in all, despite this matchup having happened already once before, I’m excited about CP3 and Booker leading the Suns to face the LA Clippers.
