2. LA Clippers’ player that must step up: Lou Williams

What better time for Lou Williams to start looking like himself?

This season, the three-time Sixth Man of the Year hasn’t looked like himself. Over the past few games, however, he has started to play himself back to the level all of Clipper Nation knows he is capable of.

On Sunday, Williams posted a season-high 23 points albeit in a losing effort. In the prior game on Friday night versus Boston, he had 18 points and six assists. In both games, he was the Lou Williams that this team needs. If he can make that more of a norm and get back at the level he played at last season, PG’s time out might not be as bad as we once thought.

Lou’s play off the bench can offset a lot of the scoring the team loses with PG on the mend. He also adds more playmaking, especially as he and Ivica Zubac continue to build a rapport.

The increase in scoring by Lou will be huge for this roster, especially the second unit who is losing Luke Kennard to the starting unit. Speaking off…
