3. Can Paul George prove it in the playoffs for the LA Clippers?

I know, I know. That’s one of the most cliche concerns we can have.

But, there is some merit to it.

The NBA is a “what have you done for me lately?” type of league and last season, Paul George didn’t do enough for the Clippers.

This season, he set out to prove the doubters wrong and has undeniably been great both on and off the court.

He has shot lights out, currently sitting in the 50/40/90 club and scoring 24.4 points per game while averaging a career-high 5.5 assists per game. George is also still getting it done defensively and if he can keep this play going into the postseason, the Clippers will be a tall task for any opponent.

The keyword is “if”.

Look, I don’t doubt that PG can do it. He has the ability and mental fortitude to continue to play great all season and into the playoffs. Dwyane Wade said just as much.

Like I said though, in this league, you have to go out and show it on a night in and night out basis. The doubters won’t be quiet until PG performs in the postseason. Until he goes out and does it, it’s going to be a concern that sits in the back of our head.
