The LA Clippers play against the Minnesota Timberwolves tonight at 10 PM EST, after a big loss against the Dallas Mavericks.

The LA Clippers will be looking for a big game tonight, as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves who are without Karl-Anthony Towns.

They’ll be hoping for a much better result than their previous game when they were beaten by the Dallas Mavericks by more than 50.

At the time of writing, Kawhi Leonard is still questionable. He missed the Dallas game after taking an accidental Serge Ibaka elbow to the face in the fourth quarter of the Denver Nuggets game. If he does miss this game, look for Luke Kennard to start again

Marcus Morris will miss another game as he deals with knee soreness that has kept him out since the start of the season. So far, the team has been starting Nicolas Batum in his stead.

On the Minnesota side, the big loss is of course Karl-Anthony Towns. The talented big man is missing time with an injured wrist and won’t see any time on the court against the Clippers.

Zu and Ibaka have to be breathing a sigh of relief that they’re not going to be tasked with defending one of the best big men in the game.

With that in mind, we’ll be seeing a guard-heavy attack from the Timberwolves. Our guard and wing defenders will be working double duty to keep the Minnesota offense down.

After a rough shooting night (4-13 from the field, 0-6 from 3), expect Paul George to come out swinging. The LA Clippers have been consciously trying to get him rolling early in games. I’m looking for PG13 to be extra aggressive in the first quarter tonight, to try to wipe away the stink of the last game early.

At the center position on offense, Ibaka and Zubac against Naz Reid is a mismatch and one I’d expect Coach Lue to exploit with glee. If our bigs are hitting shots, it adds a whole new dimension to the offense.
