The LA Clippers face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves. We take a look at 3 things to watch for in this upcoming game.

After a rough game against the Mavericks, the LA Clippers face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves. With KAT out, the odds favor the Clips, but as always in the NBA, nothing is for certain.

There are going to be several factors that determine the victor in this contest. Before tipoff, let’s take a look at 3 things we should be watching for.

LA Clippers Focus #1: Can They Bounce Back?

The LA Clippers are playing two days after playing one of the absolute worst games in franchise history. One key to the game will be how they bounce back mentally from that shellacking.

The Denver Nuggets game showed that the Clippers have some mental fortitude that might have been missing last year. They weathered a run that, last year, might have had them collapsing.

Now we need to see a new level of fortitude. As bad as the last game was, it was still just one loss. Ty Lue mentioned this, responding with a laugh “what game?” when asked about what to take away from the Mavericks loss.

Can the Clips put their terrible performance out of their minds and just focus on the T-Wolves? Minnesota is an opponent that the Clippers should beat, but will still demand their attention.

If LA comes out still thinking about Dallas, then the Wolves are more than capable of taking advantage and handing the Clippers another notch in the loss column.

It’s early in the season, so standings aren’t so important, but the LA Clippers can keep their hold on a top spot in the conference with a win here. They’ll need to show they can bounce back after a bad loss to do so.
