The LA Clippers take on the Dallas Mavericks today. Here are three players to watch for.

The LA Clippers are off to a 2-0 that has surprised many experts and fans. After two big wins over the Los Angeles Lakers and the Denver Nuggets, the Clippers will face another big game against the Dallas Mavericks on Sunday afternoon. There will be many keys to the game but three players for the Clippers will be the key for the team to get a 3-0 start.

Through two games of the new 2020-2021 NBA season, the Clippers have shown they have put their early playoff exit this past October behind them. Many basketball experts were projecting the new and improved Los Angeles Lakers would defeat the Clippers on ring night. Several Clippers took the game from start to finish as they held on to win big with a 116-109 score.

The Clippers had a huge Christmas night matchup versus the team that knocked them out of the second round of the 2020 NBA Playoffs in the Denver Nuggets. Like in the first game against the Lakers, the Clippers started hot against the Nuggets. Despite an attempted comeback from Denver, the Clippers never allowed less than a nine-point lead.

On Sunday, the Clippers will face a Dallas Mavericks team (0-2), who just lost to the Lakers on Christmas Day with a lopsided 138-115 score in Los Angeles. The Mavericks will look to get their season back on track against a Clippers team who took the series to seven games in the first round of the 2020 NBA Playoffs. The Clippers will have their hands full with shooting guard Luka Doncic, who leads the team in points, rebounds, and assists per game.
