3. LA Clippers Christmas List: A championship

I mean, this is the obvious choice, isn’t it?

The Clippers top item on their wishlist should be a championship this season. Obviously, this only happens if the first to things on their wishlist are given but even if both of those things happen, a victory isn’t guaranteed.

Let’s face it – The West is really, really, REALLY good.

The Lakers added more talent to a championship roster. Denver is still good as is Utah. Luka is still on the rise. Portland added some nice pieces to their rotation. Phoenix is better with the addition of Chris Paul. The Warriors will be feisty. Even the young and upcoming teams like the Memphis Grizzlies and New Orleans Pelicans will be tough opponents on any given night.

The Clips will have a lot to overcome this season. With Kawhi Leonard’s free agency pending, they have to prove that they are heading in the right direction. While a trip to the Finals or even just the Western Conference Finals would be good, a championship would be even better.

With a top-tier starting group and a very good second unit, the Clips have everything they need to be serious threats to win it all. Let’s all ask Santa for this one.
