The Earned Edition UNIFORMS for the LA Clippers may have leaked on social media, and the color palette is a bit grayscale.

Today on Twitter, we saw what may be the upcoming Earned Edition uniforms for the NBA, including the one for the LA Clippers. And while some of the teams in the league get very striking unis, the Clippers jersey doesn’t have much color at all.

As a reminder, Earned jerseys are given to teams who made the playoffs in the previous year, making the possession of one of those jerseys a point of pride. And the meaning behind the uniforms will probably be the only thing the team is particularly proud of this year.

Many of fans, myself included, were hoping to see the return of some red uniforms, maybe something reminiscent of old throwback Clippers unis. And that’s what we see for the Toronto Raptors, who got a purple and black uniform that’s definitely meant to remind you of the early 2000s shirts.

Fans of the LA Clippers would also be happy with something very modern looking, something like the Milwaukee Bucks uniform, which has the Milwaukee green and cream colored antlers.

But instead, we get grey. This is three uniforms now – the City, Statement and Earned editions – which are black or grey, with very little color. That leaves the Icon edition, in the Clippers blue, as the sole uniforms that brighten the room.

Of course, these leaks aren’t 100% confirmed. We could see something more colorful once the real uniforms are released. That’s something that a lot of fans of the LA Clippers will probably be hoping for.

All this means is that the Clippers will have to be sure to make the playoffs again in the upcoming season, in order to get a better Earned Edition uniform next year.
