Both Serge Ibaka and Luke Kennard will improve the LA Clippers.

A frenetic draft and free agency period has landed the LA Clippers Luke Kennard and Serge Ibaka, two players who will be critical to their aspirations for the 2021 NBA Championship.

The LA Clippers welcomed Luke Kennard and Serge Ibaka to Southern California this week, adding another dimension of championship pedigree to a squad eager to bury the demons of their 2019/20 campaign.

LA Clippers President of Basketball Operations Lawrence Frank acquired Kennard from Detroit on draft night, trading Landry Shamet and Rodney McGruder to the Eastern Conference to land the former Duke guard.

Ibaka was lured away from the Raptors in free agency, agreeing to a reported 2-year, $19M deal to reunite with Kawhi Leonard in Los Angeles.

Both players loom as crucial pieces in Tyronn Lue’s side, where the departures of Montrezl Harrell, JaMychal Green, and Shamet has left significant roles for their newest acquisitions to adopt.

Just how much will each help the team in their respective roles? Let’s take a look at what each player adds to this roster as they try and chase their first championship.
