LA Clippers Pitch #2 to Aron Baynes: Reuniting with Kawhi

If the money alone somehow isn’t enough, the LA Clippers need to convince Aron Baynes that reuniting with Kawhi Leonard is the right decision. Fans of the LA Clippers will remember that the two spent some time together in San Antonio together, so there is an assumed rapport. (If we get Baynes, please don’t bring up those two Blake dunks to him.)

Baynes might be a little soured with how Kawhi left the Spurs but at least knows the quality of player that he is. The two won the 2013-14 championship against the Miami Heat. The two could now reunite to again try and take down LeBron, albeit before the Finals.

Out of teams that still are in the race for centers, the Clippers are one of the two or three that really present a chance at winning a championship. One of the others, of course, is Brooklyn but with both Jarett Allen and DeAndre Jordan on the roster, they are pursuing someone more like Ibaka who can play both the four and five.

The Clippers can give him a familiar face that is a bonafide superstar who can get another ring for him. Why wouldn’t that idea be a positive one, especially if he gets the money mentioned in the first slide?
