What position should you pick for the LA Clippers on NBA 2K21?

Fans who have been waiting for the next generation of consoles to pick up NBA 2K21 only have about a week left. 2K drops on the Xbox Series X and S on November 10 with the PS5 getting the game on November 12 (in select countries). As we all get ready to sink our time into MyCareer, we have to ask the question of what position to play if you want to be on the LA Clippers?

I know most players don’t care what team they end up on and instead focus on a build that is more fit for The Rec or The Park but there are some out there that would rather just live out their NBA fantasy. For those of you out there who play that way and are Clippers’ fans, the choice is clear what position you have to be.

Point guard.

The Clips obviously don’t need wings with Kawhi Leonard and Paul George on the roster and the starting center position is solid with Ivica Zubac. This leaves the power forward spot (potentially) and the point guard spot as the only two viable options.

Given the choice between the two though, doesn’t point guard seem a little more fun? 2K has ditched the pie chart skill selection in the next-gen version, so players can add points where they deem necessary. Creating a pass-first type of player will give the Clippers exactly what they need. The build can focus more on playmaking and defense with some points added to shooting.

Setting up both Kawhi and PG will net some easy assists and the pick-and-roll game with Ivica Zubac should also create a lot of opportunities for not only the two of you but the team as a whole.

By creating a point guard, you also eventually will move Patrick Beverley to the bench, giving the second unit a true point guard to put alongside Lou Williams. The team will benefit from having his leadership and defense of the second unit.
