1. Aron Baynes

The best available low-risk free agent on the market in my opinion is Aron Baynes. Not only is he a pretty well-known commodity at this point in his career but he fills a void for the LA Clippers – the backup center position.

Baynes added a three-point shot over the past two seasons, which would give the Clips a center that can step outside of the paint and be trusted to knock down a shot, something they don’t yet have with Ivica Zubac nor Montrezl Harrell.

At 6’10”, 260 pounds, Baynes gives the team more size and can spell Zubac while the team doesn’t see as sharp of a dropoff on defense as they did in the postseason when Harrell was forced to guard bigger centers like Nikola Jokic.

With him on the team, the Clippers have someone who can play well within his role while not needing the ball, provide solid defense and rebounding for the team, and can space the court. He honestly is one of my top “must add” players for the team this offseason. At 33 years old, he might even be willing to take a veteran’s minimum to get a chance at another ring after getting one with the Spurs in 2014.
