2. Can the LA Clippers take advantage of Denver lulls?

The story of our lone loss, in Game 2, was the Clippers being unable to capitalize when the Nuggets stopped scoring.

Take the 3rd quarter of Game 2. Denver went cold, scoring only 17 points all quarter. LA, who trailed by 14 going into the quarter, should have taken advantage and seriously chipped into the lead.

Instead? The Clippers also went cold, scoring only 19 points. And that was the story of the game. Any time we had a shot at making a run and taking the lead, we started rushing shots and couldn’t actually get it done.

The exact opposite was the story in Game 3. After the Nuggets led for most of the game, the Clippers started getting stops in the fourth quarter. By quarter, the Nuggets scored 32, 27, 29, 19.

But this time, the Clips were able to take advantage. They scored 29 in the fourth, outscoring the Nuggets by 10 and taking the victory.

If the Clippers can keep taking advantage of Denver cold spurts, they stand a good chance at going up 3-1 in the series.
