Game 2: February 28th, 2020 – LAC 132, DEN 103

A win for us!

In the first meeting between these teams that had the LA Clippers at full strength, the Nuggets never led throughout the entire game.

Seven Clippers scored in double digits. We shot 46% from beyond the arc and 25 was the highest minute total among any Clipper. The lead steadily built throughout the game and ended up with a 29 point blowout.

Jokic had 21 points for the Nuggets, but only grabbed 9 rebounds and dished out 2 assists in what was his worst offensive game against the Clippers. Jerami Grant scored 20, but it took him 15 shots and 10 free throws to do it.

LA had more rebounds, more assists, fewer turnovers. They won the 3 point battle, the FG% battle, and the free-throw battle. What more can really be said? It was a comfortable win in which the Clippers dominated every facet.

So much so, in fact, that I’m going to say that you shouldn’t take much more out of this win than you did out of the loss earlier in the season. In the playoffs, our guys are gonna play more than 25 minutes a game. The Nuggets aren’t going to roll over like they did this game.

So look at this as a ceiling. If the Clippers get everything going for a quarter or two? This is what it could look like.
