The LA Clippers continue to show poise and professionalism on their march toward the playoffs.

The LA Clippers are a professional basketball team.

Yes, of course, that is literally true. They are indeed an organization in the National Basketball Association. But it’s also figuratively true. The team displayed a strong and steady sense of professionalism in their 126-111 victory over the Dallas Mavericks today, ending the game on a 25-10 run against the team they will most likely face in the first round of the playoffs.

The Clippers improved their record to 19-3 in games following a loss this season, showing they can easily bounce back after setbacks. They even their record at 2-2 since the NBA restart in the Orlando bubble.

The game was tight throughout, with the Clippers taking a one-point lead into halftime. They’d extend the lead to twelve midway through the third quarter before Dallas rallied to come within four at the end of the period.

The Mavericks would pull even at 101 on a 25-foot three-point shot from Maxi Klebar with just under seven minutes to go in the final quarter. But the Clippers would immediately go on a 9-0 run and not look back from there, ending the game on a 25-10 run that put the Mavericks hopes of pulling off a victory to bed.

After dropping their first game in the bubble to the Lakers, the Clippers rallied with a blowout victory over the Pelicans. Their third contest against Phoenix came down to the wire where the suddenly scorching-hot Suns needed the combination of an untimely error and a Devin Booker buzzer-beater to best the Clippers. Once again, the Clippers bounce back after a loss with a strong showing and a steady victory over a quality opponent in the Dallas Mavericks.

While they are still not at full-strength, the Clippers continue to gel and stay focused on the task at hand as they inch closer toward the NBA playoffs. With four seeding games to go until the chase for a championship truly begins, the team is keeping themselves right where they need to be to bring home the Larry O’Brien trophy for the first time in franchise history.
